CHROMECAST-XL is a phosphate-bonded high-heat investment specially developed to cast partials in chrome-cobalt alloys. It is made from the same high quality binder materials as those used in our world-famous micro-fine crown and bridge investment, STARVEST, and under the very same standards of manufacturing process and quality control which have made STARVEST the favorite investment of many thousands of labs around the world.

CHROMECAST-XL is less coarse than similar investments. It mixes to a nice and creamy texture and has longer working time ( 4 to 6 minutes ). It achieves strength very quickly which allows casting ring placement into even hot burn-out ovens. Batch-to-batch consistency, and accuracy provided by the fine texture of the investment is an important property of Chromecast.

It can also be used for other castings in gold, palladium, platinum, and non-precious alloys when it is used with special liquid. The selective use of the special liquid provides controlled expansion required for other applications such as crown & bridge castings.
